We are very excited to announce our very first

Volunteer Appreciation Weekend!

 

This is a THANK YOU weekend that is scheduled for all of the Ambassadors (volunteers) of the Great Escape Adventure.

​

Every resource donated, whether it be a minute volunteered, dollar donated or a story shared, any and all can dramatically enhance the quality of life for terminally-ill adults and their families.

​

This is a very special weekend designated to thank volunteers. There are not enough words to describe how amazed and grateful we are for the dedication, compassion and generosity of the individuals who have given of themselves to the Great Escape Adventure Inc. Escapes.

 

The Escapes would not be possible without the donation of funds and time from you, our “Ambassadors” who have seen the plight of people wanting to live life to the fullest but sometimes do not know how when living with Stage 4 cancer.  Our dedicated and compassionate volunteers, have decided to not only “talk the talk” but also “walk the walk” and give of themselves in a most precious way, their time.

 

Without support, we would not have had the opportunity to provide non-medical palliative care to almost 200 individuals who have joined our escapes. Without your help, we would not have been able to provide the services, the support, the gifts, the camaraderie, or connect our clients to others who understand. Without you, none of the work we do would be possible!

On behalf of our Board, our members, and our clients, I would like to say thank you for your unwavering support and generosity. We continue to work daily to support stage 4 friends and family, and to provide amazing escapes. We truly appreciate that you have joined us in this journey.

 

On a more personal note, I would like to thank you all for being my inspiration and for helping us actually change the world, one patient at a time. My life has forever been changed because of the time I have spent with all of you, and I am a better person because you decided to give back to your fellow men. I will never be able to fully express my gratitude to each one of you, but please know from the bottom of my heart how much I appreciate and respect each and every one of you.
